Our Locations

Urban food production brings food from remote, rural areas to where people actually live: urban centres. Food grown locally is healthier for people and the planet and has a much smaller carbon footprint than food grown and shipped in from away. Food grown locally also ensures greater food security.

The large farms and acreages of the country, however, are not as common in towns and cities. Because parcels of land are smaller in urban areas, Wild Town, like other urban agricultural organizations, grows food in multiple locations throughout the New Waterford area.
